A graduate from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.
Lori Hammond received an MFA from the Department of Computer Graphics & Interactive Media.
Ms. Hammond currently works as a Cross Training Specialist for Disney Feature Animation Studios. Ms. Hammond also currently teaches at Cal State University, where she has taught both 3D Maya modeling and 2D Animation. Ms. Hammond has worked as an 3D Maya Generalist & Boujou tracker for TV Pilots such as "Heroes", as well as several other projects both studio based & independent.
Currently Ms. Hammond's work is on display at Walt Disney Animation Studios in a one women show "PARALLAX."
Ms. Hammond's short film "Looking Back In _A Cityscape" has also been picked up for distribution with LA Film Festival.
In 2007 "Looking Back In A Cityscape" was exhibited by Victory Median Network, in Dallas, TX. (at the first Large Scale Outdoor Digital Arts Gallery). "Looking Back In..." also exhibited for "Great Wall of Oakland Project" Oakland, CA 2008.
Miss Hammond has shown her work both nationally (in various galleries, exhibitions, and TV) and Internationally. Her 3D 'Object' designs were shown at the "First Beijing New Media Arts Exhibition & Symposium 2004" Beijing, China (May 2004) and in SIGGRAPH 2003 & 2005.
"Looking Back In_A Cityscape" --(3D animated short) Directed, Produced & Animated by Lori Hammond was screened at the LA INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (LA Fest) in Sept. 9th 2004 and played at the Arc Light Cinema.
"Looking Back In.." was broadcasted on Channel 29 (NewScreen Broadcasting), Orlando, Florida, (Dec. 15, 2005.

Miss Hammond began showing her work in 1996 where she began with a one-woman show of Paintings & Sculpture at the Egyptian Theatre, De Kalb, IL.
Miss Hammond received a BFA in Painting from NIU, where she began her career as a visual artist, she has exhibited her work as both an Artist, Painter & /3D Designer.
Trained in a variety of formats, from painting, sculpture, jewelry, fiber glass, tapestry, photography, 2D & 3D computer art (all aspects of modeling, lighting, animation, postproduction) her work crosses boundaries into Interior Design, Architecture, Painting, Jewelry and Fashion.
Her style is both organic & geometric, as she believes in "Duality (obtaining balance)" - it is in this search that her work strives & maintains it's uniqueness & originality...its beauty of form, its universal (yet personal) symbolism and its quality of line, light and vision.
